Fundraising Resources
Remember, our top fundraisers win prizes too — see Prizes for this year's Top Fundraiser awards.
Your fundraising page is set up automatically when you register. Make sure you upload a great photo, write a brief but compelling summary of why you're supporting our four charity partners, and set an achievable but meaningful goal. You can edit your page, image and contact details any time by logging in.
Fundraising for the Lindfield Fun Run is easier than you think — here's how to get started.
Decide why you want to fundraise: take a few minutes to read about our charity partners and decide why they deserve your effort, then lead the way by giving to your own page first.
Customise your fundraising page: upload a smiling photo of yourself (running gear optional!) — people just want to see who they're giving to.
Create your prospect list: start with loved ones — spouse, partner, parents, kids — then friends, wider family and colleagues, and don't forget the local shopkeepers and businesses you frequent.
Have meaningful conversations with people: explain why you're fundraising and how their money will help — your fundraising page can help convey this.
Use email and social media: by far the easiest channels to spread the word. If a friend doesn't give on the first ask, a gentle reminder never hurts.
Make fundraising easier with the tools provided: posters are available to put up at work or wherever helps rally people to the cause.
Ask your employer to support you: some employers will match your donations, and a work team could even become a sponsorship opportunity, perhaps with team T-shirts.
Update your fundraising page: as you progress in the weeks before the event, share news or milestones — and if you smash your goal, don't be shy about setting a new one.
Recognise and thank your supporters: the system sends an automatic thank you, but people always love a personal message too.
Create or join a team: it's more fun to fundraise (and run) with people you know, and easier when you've got each other's support.
