Our Why

Although the Lindfield Fun Run is a great day out for all ages, its real purpose is raising vital funds for our four charity partners. Because Rotary is run entirely by volunteers, we keep our costs to a minimum so as much as possible goes straight to the causes
that need it — remember, all donations over $2 are tax-deductible.

Help us make sure no one in our community falls through the gaps.

Where do the 2027 funds go?

For 2027, funds raised at the Lindfield Fun Run are split four ways: 50% to KYDS Youth Counselling, with the remaining 50% shared equally between Mentoring Men, the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Women's Shelter and The Village Chef (around 16.7% each).
Different as their work is, all four organisations share the same commitment: being
there when people are most vulnerable, so no one has to face life's challenges alone.

KYDS Youth Counselling

KYDS Youth has provided free, confidential mental health support to young people aged 10–18 since 2005, delivering around 10,000 counselling sessions a year without the need for a Medicare card or referral.

Mentoring Men

Mentoring Men provides free, one-to-one mentoring for men doing it tough, addressing the fact that men make up 75% of suicides in Australia.

Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Women's Shelter

Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Women's Shelter offers crisis accommodation for up to eight women and their children for up to three months, long-term accommodation for women over 55 at risk of homelessness, and ongoing outreach support for women and families.

The Village Chef

The Village Chef (formerly Ku-ring-gai & Hornsby Meals on Wheels) has been hand-delivering home-cooked meals to older residents across Ku-ring-gai, Hornsby and the Northern Beaches since 1961, helping seniors stay independent while offering valued company along the way.
